Potential Budget Overruns During Booth Setup in Chinese Exhibition Venues
The following scenarios commonly lead to unexpected expenses during booth construction in China:
-
On-Site Determination of Ceiling Hanging Points
In certain venues, such as the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, the exact quantity of ceiling hanging points can only be confirmed during actual setup, potentially resulting in unplanned adjustments and costs. -
Tight Work Schedules and Overtime Charges
Construction periods in Chinese exhibition halls are often limited to two or three days. Both booth assembly and exhibitor equipment installation/testing must be carefully scheduled. If work extends beyond official hours, prior approval for overtime must be obtained from the venue, and additional overtime fees will apply. -
Inadequate Pre-Booked Power Supply
Sufficient electricity for booth lighting and equipment must be reserved in advance. If on-site power demand (e.g., from lighting or exhibitor devices) exceeds the pre-booked capacity, emergency power supplements must be arranged. This incurs extra rush-order charges and may disrupt the construction timeline. - welcome contact us for your next project
